I have a way out for you and it might just prove to be a better one than buying a new textbook. Try Algebrator, it covers a pretty comprehensive list of mathematical topics and is highly recommended. With it you can solve various types of problems and it’ll also address all your enquiries as to how it came up with a particular solution . I tried it when I was having difficulty solving questions based on formula hill grade percent and I really enjoyed using it.

Hey, Algebrator is one superb tool ! I started using it when I was in my college . It’s been years since then, but I still use it frequently . Take my word for it, it will really help you.

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several algebra classes - Basic Math, College Algebra and Intermediate algebra. It is a truly a great piece of math software. I remember of going through difficulties with trigonometric functions, system of equations and 3x3 system of equations. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook , click on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework. I highly recommend the program.
